What is Prayer?

Prayer is a way of communicating with God.
It is a means of worshiping and praising the Lord. Prayer provides a space to confess sins and seek repentance. Prayer is also a way of making requests before God.

Nothing changes in our lives without prayer. If we want to see things move or shift in our lives, prayer must be an essential part of our journey.
As 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV) tells us:

16 Rejoice always,
17 Pray continually (praying without ceasing means to pray without stopping),
18 Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Don’t tell yourself that you prayed enough last night and will only pray next month. No, you are opening doors for attacks. Prayer is the solution to all our problems. That’s why I’m here today to remind you that we cannot live without prayer.

Prayer Points:

1. Thanksgiving:
   Let’s thank God for the gift of life. For all He has done, it is not by our might or will that we are here today, but by His grace. Thank God for the ability to pray in Jesus’ name.
2. Prayer of Forgiveness and Mercy:
   “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9). Lord, forgive us, and show us Your mercy.
3. Empowerment by the Holy Spirit:
   Holy Spirit, fill me afresh and empower me to pray effectively during this midnight hour in Jesus’ name.
4. Prayer of Repentance:
   Lord, I repent of every sin and ask for Your forgiveness in Jesus’ name.
5. Destruction of Evil Gatherings:
   Father, scatter every evil gathering against my life, destiny, career, business, and family in Jesus’ name.
6. Protection from Spiritual Attacks:
   Every spiritual attack planned against me during the night, be destroyed by the fire of God in Jesus’ name.
7. Binding of Demonic Forces:
   I command every satanic, demonic, or witchcraft agent assigned to attack me at night to be bound and cast out in Jesus’ name. (Matthew 18:18 NIV: “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”)
8. Breaking of Chains of Limitation:
   Lord, let every chain of limitation in my life break right now in Jesus’ name. I pray for the release of angels to guard me as I sleep.
9. Shining Light in Dark Places:
   Lord, let Your light shine in every dark area of my life and expose every hidden work of the enemy.
10. Breaking Evil Covenants:
    I break every evil covenant made against me, knowingly or unknowingly, in Jesus’ name.
11. Blinding of Monitoring Spirits:
    Lord, let every evil monitoring spirit assigned to track my progress be blinded in Jesus’ name.
12. Financial Breakthrough:
    God, I pray for immediate financial breakthroughs. Open doors of opportunity and bless the work of my hands in Jesus’ name.
13. Guidance by the Holy Spirit:
    Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Holy Spirit, lead me on the path of righteousness, the path that leads to eternal life.
14. Prophetic Decree:
    I decree that my dreams and visions shall come to pass by the power of God Almighty.
15. Thanksgiving for Answered Prayers:
    Lord, thank You for answered prayers and for granting us victory in Jesus’ name.
