Prayer for Mercy.
Thanksgiving for the New Month
“Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever.” (Psalm 107:1)
Let us take a moment to give thanks to God for the new month. Wherever you are, lift your voice and say, “Father, thank You for this month. Thank You, Lord, for making it possible for us to enter the month of December. Thank You for keeping us from January until now. Thank You for sustaining us.”
This is the last month of 2024—a testimony of God’s faithfulness. Reflect on His grace: many have faced hardships and losses this year, yet here you stand. Open your mouth and say:
“Lord, I thank You for preserving my life, protecting my family, and guiding me throughout the year. You have been my shield, my guide, and my sustainer. I vow to honor and serve You with my life, my resources, and everything that concerns me.”
“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)
The Ministry of Mercy
“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” (Lamentations 3:22-23)
As we step into December, let us seek God’s mercy. Mercy is the foundation of our relationship with God—it precedes grace and divine favor. Without it, our efforts are in vain.
“So it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.” (Romans 9:16)
God’s mercy shields us from judgment and opens the door for restoration, grace, and salvation. We need His mercy to navigate life’s challenges, to experience breakthroughs, and to overcome the plans of the enemy.
